Necuhtli means honey in the native language of Nahautl. This nectar of life and medicine brings vitality and healing to those who know its secrets. Hotel de Necuhtli pays homage to the natural structural efficiency and beauty of the hexagonal honeycomb, while honoring the elements which bring life: earth, water, air, and fire. The central pool offers its cooling nature while recieving replenshing air and daylight from the open floor plan. The natural brick and concrete materials recall its natural earth origins. The open floor plans and private rooms recieve constant, natural air flow. Most importantly, the orientation of the rooms is a salute to the morning and evening sun light, and the open floor plates allow natural light to penetrate to ground level.
